-
Safety First:
-
Keep Kids & Pets Away: Before you start, remove any people, pets, or fish from the room.
-
No Liquids Near Electricity: Never spray liquids on electrical items like plugs, sockets, or cables. When using dust, be extra cautious around these.
-
Clear & Clean the Area:
-
Clear the Bed: Move all items off and around your bed. This gives you a clear space to work.
-
Bedding: Strip the bed completely. Wash all bedding on the hottest safe temperature to kill bugs hiding in the fabric.
-
Treat the Bed & Bedding:
-
Spray Mattress & Seams: Check your mattress—especially the edges and seams—and lightly spray it with Formula C. Don’t drench it. Let it dry completely before putting the bedding back.
-
Extra Areas on Beds: If you have a divan (or a bed with drawers), remove and inspect the drawers. If your bed has slats or a headboard, take a good look behind them and spray with Formula C.
-
Inspect Nearby Areas:
-
Furniture & Carpets: Check around furniture (tables, wardrobes, chests of drawers) and along carpet edges near the bed.
-
Cracks & Crevices: Bed bugs love hiding in small cracks, so carefully inspect all small gaps and crevices. Spray any suspect areas with Formula C.
-
Fogger & Powder Application:
-
Fogger: Once you’ve done the spray, take your Formula ‘P’ Fogger to the centre of the room. Activate it by firmly pushing the trigger (remember, hold it away from you!). The gas will be released for about 90 seconds.
-
Leave the Room: Shut the door and wait 2–3 hours so the fog and spray can work and dry out the room. After that, open a window to air it out.
-
Powder: Finally, once surfaces are dry, carefully dust Formula ‘P’ Powder on the bed frame, divan bases, and around the bed. (Tip: Lightly damp surfaces help the powder stick—but do NOT put powder on your mattress!)
-
Final Thoughts:
-
Go Over It Again: Bed bugs are super good at hiding. You might need to repeat the whole process every two weeks until they’re finally gone.
-
Extra Reach: For those hard-to-get spots, use the Insectrol spray. Its fine mist can penetrate tighter spaces where bed bugs might be clustered.
-
Don’t Rush Cleaning: Since Formula C leaves a protective film, avoid cleaning treated surfaces too soon. Otherwise, you’ll wash away its effect and have to reapply.
